34 YEARS OF SOBERFEST

Welcome to the 35th Annual Soberfest 2025, the largest annual recovery event in District 12, Area 21, of Alcoholics Anonymous in Central Illinois.

The first Soberfest was a 3-day event in 1991, held at the old Chancellor Hotel and Convention Center in Champaign. This annual event has been through many revisions since then, but the heart and mission of Soberfest remains unchanged.

to carry the message to the still suffering alcoholic
to be of maximum service to the newcomer
to create a fun and carefree event to give alcoholics the chance to learn about AA and be exposed to new ideas
to encourage alcoholics to learn new perspectives of the steps, the program of action, and the Big Book of Alcoholics Anonymous

Yet it is our great hope that all those who have as yet found no answer may begin to find one in the pages of this book and will presently join us on the high road to a new freedom.
